Published in 2014 by the lovely French publisher Éditions Sarbacane, La Soupière Magique started life as The Biggest Helping. You can buy a copy here. It’s loosely based on the folk tale about the magic porridge pot that wouldn’t stop cooking – a story that I was apparently obsessed with as a child. I’d completely forgotten this, but mum remembers many, many re-readings of the Ladybird edition.
