Schools and Colleges

Since 2007 I’ve been delivering workshops, taster sessions and artist talks in schools and colleges. Photographs from some of these are below.

From 2014 to 2015, I was illustrator in residence at Woodside Primary Academy in Walthamstow, where I delivered some classes with the art & design teacher and ran an after school comics club with KS2 students.

Basic bookbinding and weaving – weekend workshops for KS2 students at the Stephen Perse Foundation, creating notebooks with painted papers, ribbon and recycled materials.

Maskmaking – students spent some time imagining and drawing how students might evolve in the future with their changing climate and environment, taking inspiration from the natural world and from speculative fiction. These drawings were then turned into masks. The workshop was part of a Comenius European exchange for KS4 students, hosted by the Stephen Perse Foundation.
